RigBlend 1 is a specially-engineered, super-absorbent solidifier for oil-based drill cuttings. Upon contact, RigBlend 1 will instantly absorb, encapsulate and never let go of any type of petroleum residue. The result is ultra-dry cuttings that can be easily and safely disposed of. RigBlend 1 is many times more absorbent than conventional solidifying agents such as processed corn cobs, saw dust, clay or vermiculite. In some states, RigBlend 1 solidifies cuttings so completely that cuttings can be disposed of on-site rather than transported to distant landfills.
